What are the regulatory burdens in the Off Project area?

State and federal regulations affect Off Project landowners’ rights to practice agriculture and use their properties. Most notable regulations include the federal Endangered Species Act, state regulations on water quality (Clean Water Act and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) provisions enforced by the Department of Environmental Quality), the Department of Agriculture’s enforcement of Senate Bill 1010, and state threatened and endangered species protections administered by the Department of Fish & Wildlife.
